Oct 10, I'd like to ask for input regarding using a track loader to clear trees, versus a dozer or excavator. I'm in central Texas and my property, about 25 acres, is completely overrun with Huisache (Wee-Satch) trees.
The brush can be mowed down using a weed whacker and a saw blade which works great for anything under 1 inch 2.
fairly small trees and brush, a dozer would be the better bet. I have a L and it is great for clearing trees and brush up to. Feb 13, However, depending on the job, I prefer an excavator for clearing with a as cleanup. I won't use a dozer for clearing as the sites I do are small ( acres) and it's more efficient with an excavator as burning is usually not allowed so all the brush has to be either ground on site or hauled off.
